Exciting Casual Opportunity to be a part of a team on the MRFF-funded Befriending with GENIE clinical trial research studyMust have fluency in at least one of the following languages: Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese), Italian, or Hindi to be eligible for this roleApproximately 3-12 hours work per week (inclusive of weekend work)6-month casual contract with possibility of extension for an additional 12 months3 x positions availableHEO 4 Step 1 $52.80 per hourAbout the opportunityThese positions will be part of a team on the MRFF-funded Befriending with GENIE clinical trial research study, which aims to improve the quality of life of people living with dementia and their caregivers from culturally and linguistically diverse communities using the BEFRIENDING with GENIE intervention, which comprises a program of visits and an online social engagement tool.You will assist the project team with administering the intervention, including visiting people living with dementia and their caregivers who are living in the community, data collection using both quantitative and qualitative measures, and data transcription. You will be required to have excellent culturally appropriate communication and language skills in one or more of the following cultural and language groups: Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese), Italian, or Hindi. Strong collaboration with any of these communities in Sydney, and prior experience in working with older people with dementia will be an advantage for these positions.
