We have an exciting permanent, full-time opportunity for a Biodiversity Lead to join our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) team based in Perth. This role will requirefrequent travel to our properties and supply chain throughout Western Australia.
Reporting to the Head of ESG, you will play a vital part in the implementation of a our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Strategy. As part of Harvest Road Group’s commitment to environmental sustainability you will work closely with our Agribusiness and Aquaculture pillars to monitor and improve biodiversity outcomes across our properties.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualified or applied experience in a commercial or technical discipline related to Environmental Science, Terrestrial Ecology, Marine Biology, Environmental Management or equivalent.
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated identification of vegetation and fauna monitoring including previous program planning and team management experience.
- Good understanding of vegetation, soil and landscape ecology.
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping, remote sensing experience, GPS and agricultural mapping software.
- Highly developed data collection, manage data bases, analytical skills and the ability to present complex issues.
- The ability to effectively lead and inspire across functional teams that focus on delivery, accountability, and performance excellence.
- Excellent communication both verbal and written.
- A high level of organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- The ability to work remotely (field work), autonomously, problem solve and work with ambiguity.
