Biomedical Dental Field Technician - Gold Coast and Brisbane South side

An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced qualified electrician who is looking to expand their knowledge and skills to move into the Dental Biomedical Field. 

We are expanding our Service Team and are looking to hire a Service Technician to join our Queensland team servicing our clients on the Gold Coast and surrounding areas.  The role will include performing preventative maintenance, break down and installation activities for our growing Qld Government and Private Dental Practice customer base. 

You will join a team of technicians with a broad range of expertise and qualifications.  QDS provides a supportive and collaborative environment with a focus on customer service and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will hold electrical / electro mechanical trade qualifications with at least 5 years of experience in equipment fault finding.  

You will receive manufacturer and on the job training in Dental Equipment, Sterilisers, X-ray and instrument repairs. While an electrical qualification is mandatory, and experience in the medical equipment field would be advantageous, ability to work with our team is the key criteria in the selection of the successful candidtate.

Key Responsibilities

The role will include the following duties and responsibilities:

• Service, installation, repair and maintenance on all Dental equipment to the company's high standards.
• Provide friendly advice and assistance to our customers as part of QDS's customer first approach.Work as a member of the team to provide efficient and cost-effective service delivery.
• Maintain a high level of knowledge through regular training in new technologies / products relevant to our customers.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate must have the following skills and experience:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a qualified electrician. 
• Electrical / electro mechanical trade qualifications
• Understanding of WH&S procedures and/or other applicable regulatory requirements
• Experience in use of work management systems and Microsoft office tools.
• Current Australian driver's licence.
