The Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Biomedical Technologist to join the team at Northern Health.
This role requires the Biomedical Technologist to be responsible for the testing and minor maintenance according to Australian standards of medical equipment, patient treatment areas and gas equipment at Northern Health.
The Biomedical Technologist will support the current engineers by performing routine medical equipment testing and auditing to ensure equipment complies with OEM and Australian Standards. With the inclusion of routine inspection and testing of medical treatment areas.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Electronic Technician Degree or equivalent
- Experience in hospital- based Biomedical Engineering team desirable
- Familiarity with Australian Standards and hospital policies
- People skills as this role deals with hospital staff on a regular basis
- Strong documentation and analytical skills
