We are currently seeking Composites Technicians, Boat Builders or people seeking (or currently enrolled in) an apprenticeship in Composites to join our growing team. Roles are based at our facility in Port Melbourne. 

The key responsibilities and duties are varied but include:

• Manufacturing composites parts using various manufacturing techniques including vacuum infusion and hand laminating
• Perform manual machining and assembly of composite/metallic components
• Repairing composite components as required
• Spraying gelcoat, sanding and detailing parts
• Working as part of a team to achieve schedule, budget and quality targets
• Working in a safe manner by complying with all health and safety policies, procedures and guidelines
• Prepare materials, products and equipment for manufacture and assembly

To be successful, candidates will ideally have a trade qualification and proven experience in a production/assembly environment. Technical expertise in Composites manufacturing processes, trimming, mechanical fastening and adhesive bonding of composite/metallic structures is preferred.

Those seeking an apprenticeship position will either have commenced a relevant apprenticeship or willing to undergo a Certificate III in Engineering - Specialising in Composite Fabrication.
