d'Albora Marinas, Australia's largest Marina Group, is offering an exciting opportunity for the role of Boatyard Supervisor at Boatyard Martha Cove. This new state of the art facility is Port Phillip Bay’s premier hub for marine maintenance and Leisure Boating.
Facilities include 70 tonne marine travel lift, 350 space Dry stacker with 10 tonne boat forklift, undercover work bays and 6 factories housing important marine trades.

We're looking for a strong leader to fill the full-time position of Boatyard Supervisor to drive excellence at Boatyard Martha Cove.
Reporting to the National Boatyard Manager, your key tasks will consist of but not limited to:
- Supervision and responsibility over daily Boatyard operations.
- Ensure customers receive timely, responsive, high-quality services.
- Take a lead role in all facets of boatyard operations including the operation of 70 tonne travel lift and the safely lifting and standing of vessels.
- Staff supervision and training in all aspects of the operations of the boatyard
- Planning of travel lift movements and vessel hardstand locations.
- Liaise with the Member and Guest Services team for all boatyard related enquiries.
- Being responsible for site operations and procedures to ensure operational benchmarks are being met and consistently improved.
- Maximising revenue opportunities whilst controlling costs without impacting safety, environment and ongoing infrastructure maintenance.
- Motivating and mentoring staff to generate a positive and engaging work environment
- Perform high quality repair, upgrades and services and ensure high quality finish to all services performed
- Apply Antifoul and other applications
- Site compliance – specifically WHS & Environmental
- Driving a ‘guest centric” and ‘continuous improvement’ culture with open communication ensuring best practice and compliance across all areas of the business
- Developing strong ties and relationships directly with members, guests, tenants and industry stakeholders
The ideal person we seek would have:
- Australian Residency
- Marine industry experience, including Travel Lift operations.
- Ability to manoeuvre vessels.
- Straddle Lift Carrier Certificate preferred
- Forklift licence highly desirable
- A current boat license is essential.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Car license is essential.
- Awareness of workplace safety, health, quality and environmental standards.
- Excellent people management skills and influencing skills
- Highly developed conflict resolution skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
As the Boatyard Supervisor, you will be able to work autonomously and be a motivated self-starter who inspires others towards shared goals.
