Purcell's Engineering is searching for experienced Boilermakers to join our professional team in Gladstone Central Queensland. 

Celebrating over 26 years of success, Purcell’s Engineering is a family owned and operated business. The company offers a wide range of engineering services through its Machine Shop, Onsite Machining, Mechanical Projects and Surface Coating Departments. Employing over 35 staff across all 4 departments, Purcell’s Engineering is well established in the Gladstone community and supports local industry and the Queensland mining industry. Being a family business Purcell's Engineering strives for keeping all our staff apart of our family, with regular BBQ's and outings. 

About the role 

As a boilermaker you will maintain a strong professional service to the Gladstone region. The role will require you to complete varies fabrication projects and equipment from workshop to site. In this position you will be expected to work as an individual and as a team. This is an integral position, and you will be part of a close-knit, dedicated team. Purcell's offers a family friendly, flexible workplace and would be well suited to a personable and self-motivated team player.

Good working hours with overtime available. 

The successful applicants will have

• Minimum of Cert III in Engineering – Welding – Fabrication
• Construction White/Blue Card
• Current Gladstone Industry Yellow Medical Pass (or be able to pass)
• Current Driver’s License
• Competent in light and medium fabrications
• Competent with GMAW, FCAW, GTAW
• Ability to pass witnessed weld tests
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening
• Own basic tooling required for the roll.
• Available to work at local site refineries   
• Forklift License 
• Working at heights (Beneficial)
• Confined space (Beneficial)   
• Post Trade experience (Beneficial)
