UGL has current vacancies for a highly skilled and safety focused Boilermakers to join our Maintenance Program on one of our major Fuel & Energy contracts offshore at Bass Strait, VIC.
In this role, the successful candidates will be responsible for providing end to end maintenance and service of the offshore platforms.
About the Role:
- Perform duties within the trade, maintaining high standards in both safety and quality
- Work with fabrication drawings, specifications and making plans Maintain effective communication with all personnel at the worksite / facility.
- Clean and prepare metal, such as mild, alloy and stainless steel, aluminum and copper, by gouging, beveling, grinding or filing Fault finding on electrical and instrumentation systems
- Cut metal shapes using a heat flame LV/HV equipment maintenance
- Assemble components to be joined and hold them in place by tack-welding or jigging
- Will be required to complete a MMAW weld coupon in the 6G position
- Able to work at all times in safe manner as per Company and Site Safety procedures and standards
About You:
- Boilermaker trade certificate
- Elevated Work Platform ticket preferred but not essential
- Driver’s Licence
- Ability to work unsupervised or requiring minimal supervision
- Leadership ability
- Good safety record
