Boilermaker - Field Service

WHO WE ARE:

PROMET is a national conveyor component and accessory specialist based in Bassendean, operating in the resource industry. We mobilise our teams to various sites throughout Australia to maintain, install, and service equipment.

As a trusted Australian conveyor component specialist, we collaborate closely with mining and mineral processing sites to enhance conveyor belt efficiency and longevity. Additionally, we provide tailored staffing solutions to meet our clients' needs.

POSITION:

Reporting to Mechanical Supervisor, the boilermaker’s tasks will include but are not limited to working on site, responding to breakdowns, preparing equipment for shutdowns, conducting conveyor maintenance, and inspecting conveyors and associated components.

Qualifications and skills required:

• C Class Driver's Licence
• National Police Clearance
• CSE, GTA, WAH 
• HRW License including forklift, basic rigging, EWP 
• Ability to undergo pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening as required.
• Excellent time management & organisation skills
• Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
• 3 + years experience in a similar position

All potential employees must pass police clearance screening, drug and alcohol testing and pre-employment medicals.

Requirements:

• Possession of a Australian recognized Cert III in Fabrication (Boilermaker/Welder) with relevant conveyor experience, equipment operation and shutdown preparation.
• Mandatory certifications: Construction White Card, Working at Heights, Confined Space
• Australian work rights
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination and undergo ongoing drug and alcohol screening
• Advantageous: Inductions for Rio Tinto, Roy Hill, FMG, MRL sites
• Point of hire: Perth, Western Australia
