AustEx is a manufacturer at the forefront of the land-based exploration industry, specializing in the design, construction and maintenance of drilling rigs and related equipment. We are proud of having developed novel designs to improve the safety, reliability and production of drilling operations around the world.
We have recently moved into our new purpose-built facility in Forrestfield to improve our manufacturing and engineering capability. We are now looking for another person who can bring their existing experience to help move the
company forward another step.
Our core services include conceptual design, research and development, drafting, engineering, manufacturing, maintenance and repair.
Established in 2009, AustEx has a reputation for excellence, which is evident by the relationships we’ve developed over the years. We’re now a key player in the mining industry with well established projects and a large pipeline of work with major clients in the industry.

- All aspects of fabrication assistance (assisting tradespersons, marking out, cutting, drilling and grinding)
- Use of various machine tools and hand tools in the manufacturing process
- Keep correct housekeeping in your work areas
- Working in a fast paced environment
- Working as part of a team
And here’s what we require from you:
- Prior experience as a boilermaker T/A
- Ability, and desire, to be part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Great attitude and work ethic
- Forklift ticket is advantageous but not required
