Boilermaker / heavy apprenticeship

Location in Thurgoona NSW, our host prides themselves on their workplace culture and are a stainless and mild steel fabricator, specializing in a range of projects such as pipework, pressure vessels, structural steel, tanks and plenty more.

We have an opportunity for a first year boilermaker/heavy fabricator to join their team

• Gain a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication
• Friendly and supportive workshop

• Examining and understanding detailed drawings and specifications to determine the requirements for the task
• Cutting, rolling, shaping, heating, or hammering metal products to produce parts.
• Using hand and machine tools, welding equipment, and CNC machines.
• Using various techniques which include welding, bolting, and riveting to align, assemble, and fix pieces together to create parts and structures.
• Adding finishing touches to products in the form of cleaning, polishing, filing, and adding protective or decorative finishes.

• Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
• Drivers Licence required
• Completion of Year 10 High School
• Willing to undertake police check and pre employment medical if required
