AddressBoilermakers Needed for multiple roles south of the river.
Engineering Trades Australia is a progressive West Australian Labour Hire organization, that specialises purely in the Fabrication and Engineering Industry.Our clients are currently seeking a range of metalwork trades - Boilermakers.
Duration: On going work Mon-Fri with extra hours available
Site: Henderson based workshops
Hours: 50+ hour weeks
Rate: $52 (flat rate)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Australian Trade Certificate
- Whitecard
- Working at Heights & Confined Spaces (Preferred)
- Valid C Class Drivers License
- Previous Workshop experience.
- Able to pass medical, drug and alcohol screening and complete online inductions as required.
- Able to pass 3G/4G weld test.
- Interpret engineering and detailed fabrication drawings
- Mark out steel components in accordance with specifications and standards
- Cut, notch, drill, ream, shape and form steel components in accordance with engineering and detailed fabrication drawings
- Fit up and adequately tack weld steel components with correct dimensions, edge preparations, weld preparations, weld gaps and to tolerance indicated in engineering and fabrication drawings
- Apply temporary bracing, where required, to ensure post welded component is within tolerance specifications
- Straighten steel components where applicable
- Fit required lifting lugs, bracing, supports aids to ensure integrity of steel component when moving or rotating with gantry cranes, mobile lifting equipment etc…
- Conduct pre-start checks on plant and equipment, hand tools, tooling and equipment prior to carrying out the task
- Utilise all hand tools and forming machines to perform required functions
- Perform welding techniques including, but not limited to, MMAW, FCAW, MIG
