About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced Boilermaker Supervisor to join our team in Geraldton, WA. Working a 2:1 roster ex Perth or open to a Geraldton local, this site-based position offers a full-time employment contract.
Reporting directly to the Superintendent, the successful candidate will oversee on-site operations, with a focus on safety, quality, and labor management.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Accurately record workforce time and progress, ensuring prompt reporting.
- Plan and organize work schedules to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Lead pre-start and debrief meetings to ensure clear communication.
- Coordinate crane requirements and liaise with relevant stakeholders for provision and operation.
- Collaborate with Scaffold Supervisor to facilitate lifts requiring Advanced Riggers and Dogmen.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback on any issues affecting schedule, budget, or project integrity.
- Conduct formal site safety audits and inspections to uphold internal and external safety standards.
About you
- Site-based Steel Remediation works on Silos, with at least 5 years of Industry experience in similar role.
- Trade qualification as a Boilermaker Welder is essential.
- Proficiency in tracking onsite welds and transferring progress data to Excel for traceability.
- Previous experience in Boiler Making application certification is desirable.
- Certification as a Welding Supervisor (Cert 10 - AS1796) is advantageous.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders involved in operations.
- Willingness to undertake a variety of tasks both on and off-site as required.
