THE ROLE
Our Northern Territory Defence team are seeking experienced Boilermaker / Welders to join our project delivery team in Darwin working on a wharf extension project. It is open to local Darwin residents.
Scope of works involves the installation of sheet and tubular piles from a piling barge using a piling frame, installation of frontal pontoons & associated services. For more information on specific scope please enquire.
You will be responsible for a variety of duties including;
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding procedures
- Carry out fabrication, structural welding, maintenance and upgrades as per Supervisor's instruction
- Ensure that the work area is kept clean, tidy and equipment is maintained to company requirements
- Work to the highest standard to maintain productivity
ABOUT YOU
- Fabrication trade certificate
- Previous Boilermaker / welder and construction experience
- Strong team player, proactive and reliable with high safety standards and a can-do attitude
- A willing and pro-active attitude toward safety
- Previous marine construction experience will be highly regarded.
