Prestons NT Pty Ltd located in Winnellie, NT provides repair and maintenance services to the commercial, industrial and domestic industry. We cater to domestic and commercial fabrication and repairs such as Shade sail posts, Trailer repairs, Shed fabrication and Gate fabrication. We specialize in Earth-moving, waste management equipment, and industrial equipment such as Skip-bins, earthmoving equipment, Agriculture equipment, and more. Role Description
This is a full-time workshop-based role with occasional on-site work for a Boilermaker situated in Winnellie, NT.
The Boilermaker will be responsible for welding, metal fabrication, able to understand technical drawings, and utilizing tools such as Oxy-acetylene, plasma, drilling and punching machines. The Boilermaker will also be able to operate various equipment including TIG, Mig and Stick welding and other related tasks as required. Confident with the use of a forklift.
Duties include General fabrication, light to medium with occasional heavy fabrication or repairs. Hydraulic cylinder and rod manufacturing. Earthmoving / Farming equipment repairs. Industrial workshop equipment repairs and fabrication. Small off the street jobs. Occasional aluminum and stainless steel fabrication and repairs.
Qualifications
- Welding, TIG Welding, Oxy-acetylene skills
- Metal Fabrication and Blueprint Reading skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail skills
- Previous Boilermaker experience is preferred.
- A relevant trade certificate or qualification is desirable.
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Must have a Drivers License
Candidates with experience in the industrial and commercial industry will be highly regarded.
Required immediate start
Rate $40-$45 based on skill level
General hours - 7am - 3.30pm Monday - Friday
