BOILERMAKERS - Steel Manufacturing

Adecco are currently seeking a Qualified Boilermaker to join a day shift crew in Laverton North, 6am starts. You, together with a team of 6, will maintain and repairs site machinery (steel industry). This role will lead into a permanent opportunity upon completion of successful probation period.

Description

You will be capable of a variety of duties including fabrication of adhoc parts and equipment as required, for example shears and troughs. Your daily duties will consist of maintenance and repairs of site machinery, including pipework.

Weld requirements include but not limited to FCAW, Stick and Sub-Arc as well as ability to overhead weld with the ability to read drawings.

• Weld aluminium, stainless steel, cast iron with all welding machines (stick/tig/mig /flame);
• Can perform structural welding including lifting applications;
• Setup and effective use of welding/flame cutting machines for different materials/thickness and rods;
• Weld and flame cut all materials in different positions (up/down/fill);
• Read and understand complex project construction and assembly drawings;
• Overhauling, repairing or replacing defective parts, components or systems. Taking defective units apart and repairing, manufacturing or replacing broken, worn-out or faulty parts;
• Testing repaired equipment for proper performance.

Assembling new industrial plant, following a regular checklist of inspections as part of the preventative maintenance program and their required quality standards to complete all associated documentation required for completion of task execution and the maintenance of recorded history.

Profile

• Trade qualified Boilermaker
• Valid High Risk Forklift Licence (preferred)
• Excellent safety attitude
• Flexible and can do attitude
• You must be willing and able to pass a pre-employment medical to be successful in this role

Casual hourly rate is $57 per hour

Permanent hourly rate is $45.61 + 15.5% Superannuation + $34 daily travel allowance + Full uniform supplied and Laundered + so much more
