The Learning, Education and Development Team is responsible for defining and progressing the strategic direction of clinical learning and development at Bendigo Health. Through a collaborative inter-professional approach the team coordinate and/or provide clinical learning and development opportunities for clinicians, students and trainees. Such opportunities enable continued advancement from Novice to Expert, from the first clinical placement as an undergraduate to the day of retirement or resignation. The team work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to ensure learning and development opportunities are relevant, innovative, contemporary, and evidence based.

As part of Learning, Education and Development, the Manager of Allied Health Education provides management and leadership to Allied Health clinical educators and the Clinical Placements team at Bendigo Health. This position reports operationally to the Director of Learning, Education and Development and professionally to the Chief Allied Health Officer via the Deputy Director of Allied Health Workforce Standards and Innovation and will work closely with other managers in Learning, Education and Development and Allied Health.
The purpose of this position is to:
- Provide leadership for Allied Health learning, education and development programs to ensure that Allied Health staff have the required capabilities to provide excellent care and meet the needs of our community
- Oversee and coordinate Allied Health student placements to optimise clinical placement capacity and ensure high quality student experiences
- Oversee the coordination and administration of clinical placements for undergraduate nursing and Allied Health students and other health professionals
