Ofinac Acoustical Engineers designs and manufactures a range of acoustic and noise control products. With an increasing order bank, we have 2 new positions immediately available for Boilermaker/Welders in the production area at our Brooklyn site.

The company has been operating for 30 plus years and is backed by a team of professional mechanical engineers. The company has a broad range of long-standing customers who appreciate the effort that goes into producing a quality, cost effective solution in the backup power generation sector.

The successful candidates will be fabricating a range of diesel tanks, mufflers, and exhausts system components amongst other products.

Qualifications & experience

• Fit and healthy, reliable and have a good work ethic
• Proficient in reading, understanding and interpreting technical drawings and fabricating to bring them to life taking pride in the items produced
• Forklift licence
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
• Work as a Team member with others
• Fabricate both in mild steel - 1.6 to 6 mm & up to12 mm plus stainless.
• Quality weld skills predominately in Mig with some Tig
• Excellent communication skills - ability to read work orders & follow instructions
• Ability to read and interpret both 2D and 3D drawings
• Self-motivated, honest and punctual.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Interpret, plan out and fabricate products to detailed drawings
• Meet required standards and build to respective Australian Standards
• Work on individual products and as a team on major builds.
• Adhere to safe work practices
• Maintain clean workspace
• Assist others where required
• You will be required to undergo a weld test prior to any engagement

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40.00 – $45.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime

Experience:

• Welding: 3 years (Required)

Licence/Certification:

• Driver Licence (Required)
• Forklift Licence (Preferred)
