Boilermaker/Welder

AKT Engineering is looking for a full-time Boilermaker to join our team. This is an immediate opportunity.

You will be working on a 2-week rotating shift roster system.  2-week morning shift and a 2-week afternoon shift work.  Afternoon shift will include a daily incentive.

Qualifications & experience

• Boilermaker experience required, but not essential - willing to train right candidate if required.
• Trade Certificate 
• NATA Welding Certification provided. 
• Forklift Ticket beneficial but not essential.

 Key characteristics,

• Understanding of the importance of safety and quality of your work, and looking out for the safety of yourself and team
• Be able to read and understand shop drawings. 
• Attention to detail. 
• Ability to work unsupervised and prioritise work tasks.
• Be able to work in a team environment.

  Tasks include but not limited to,

• Report to Fabrication Supervisor
• Fabricating & welding out structural steel assemblies.
• Ensure safe work practices. 
• Maintain good housekeeping.

 Successful person will also have, 

• Your own transport 
• Happy to work both independently and part of a team. 
• Great attitude and reliable
• Passed Pre-employment medical.
