We are an established Bookkeeping Business which offers services to small and medium sized Law Firms to help them stay on top of their bookkeeping. We have a vacancy for a dedicated and experienced Bookkeeper who has law firm experience and attention to detail to work remotely for our business. We offer a personalised service to each client and therefore seek a Bookkeeper with these very same qualities.
The Position
This position will see you working with your own legal clients and managing them from beginning to end. You will have responsibility and autonomy for your clients and be responsible for all their bookkeeping duties on a day-to-day basis. You will have an eye for detail when reviewing work and be able to anticipate any issues before they arise. Your duties will include
- Data entry into the client’s preferred accounting package
- Monthly reconciliation of all office accounts to bank statements and end of month reporting
- Payroll and Superannuation
- Monthly reconciliation to the P&L, Trial Balance, and Balance Sheet
- Preparation and analysis of P&L, Balance sheet
- Preparation of BAS Including GST reconciliations and lodgment
- And everything else in between
It essential that the successful candidate has law firm bookkeeping experience and high level Xero knowledge so you can hit the ground running.
This is a part time position allowing you to work remotely. We are seeking 14-22 hours per week with the opportunity of further hours for the right candidate. There is flexibility on how these hours are spread across the week and would ideally suit a parent looking for school hours. Lots of flexibility as long as the work gets done!
The Successful Candidate
- Will have the willingness to ‘own’ the client and manage from beginning to end
- Law firm bookkeeping experience (we work in LEAP, Actionstep, LIV Trust and Smokeball)
- Proven high levels of Xero competence and understanding
- Cert IV in Bookkeeping or higher
- Highly computer literate willing to work with multiple apps, and able to problem solve issues if they arise
- Be able to learn new programs quickly
- Be a self-starter, highly motivated, positive and reliable
- Knowledge of bookkeeping practices, principles, and procedures
- Be familiar with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
- Be able to problem solve
