Elizabeth's Bookshops Fremantle & Perth (established 1973) have vacancies for book addicts.
Bookshop experience highly desirable.
Some retail / hospitality experience required.
Very Good book knowledge very important! (There is a bit of a book test.)
If you are not already an Elizabeth's customer, we will want to know why. :)
Current staff rosters are from 10 hrs to 24 hrs per week and will fit in with your university or other commitments where possible.
Training: at Retail Award Level 1. Working on your own: at Level 3. Do a bit special: at Level 4. Be wonderful: potentially Level 6 (Management).
IF APPLYING FOR WORK AT ELIZABETH’S BOOKSHOPS, PLEASE NOTE:
There may be vacancies from 2 shifts (approx. 10 hours pw) to more.
These will include some late night shifts (until 11.00pm) at South Terrace, Fremantle.
We require an 18 months commitment (due to length of training involved)
During that period, you cannot take lengthy vacations and no one can take time off during our busiest December-January period.
Staff will be rostered at the FREMANTLE and PERTH shops.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WHO
Are bright, bubbly, outgoing, enthusiastic, energetic…
LOVE books and have good book knowledge.
Have some retail or hospitality experience and excellent customer skills
Have reasonable knowledge of history, culture and current events
Able to cope with the physical demands of moving heavy trolleys, work on their own without supervision, etc.
