Reporting to the Station Manager, the successful Boreman will be responsible for effectively maintaining the constant water supply to livestock on the station by ensuring that the solar pumped bore sites are all effectively operating.
Boreman duties & responsibilities:
- Repair and maintenance of the bore sites including operating and servicing the generators using mechanical, plumbing, and electrical skills brought to the position.
- Cleaning troughs and solar panels.
- Repairs to fences surrounding the bore pumps.
- Feeding supplements to stock and monitoring the overall health of the herd.
- Starting pumps after hours if needed.
- Vehicle maintenance including tyres.
- When necessary, other station duties may be required to be done.
- To be able to, and capable of, driving long distances each day and working in a remote environment predominately autonomously.
Single accommodation in addition to all meals are supplied. This is a large, working cattle station therefore NO DOGS are permitted to be brought onto the property. Remuneration rates will be ultimately determined by our client upon the candidate being successfully short listed for a position.
