Boatshed Market is currently seeking an enthusiastic and energetic wine & hospitality professional to join our Wine Loft team. This is a casual position that requires the successful candidate to work between 10 - 15 hours per week.
Applicants must a have experience in wine retail as well as a solid base in hospitality as front of house serving customers in a restaurant environment. They must work cleanly, efficiently, have a solid understanding of hygiene and a high level of customer service. An understanding of wine is crucial.
Responsibilities Include:
- Facilitate wine and spirit sales within the Wine Loft
- Serving both dine-in and retail customers
- Working cooperatively in a team environment
- Tiding and cleaning of work area
- Rotate stock and keep a record of wastage, expiration & pouring stock
- Must be prepared to work weekends & evenings
- Preparation of small plates & cheeses
- Advising customers with Wine recommendations
Requirements:
- Must be customer service orientated
- Weekend work (Friday and Saturday evenings are essential)
- Abide by company policies and procedures at all times
- Arrive prepared and well presented for shifts
- Must have an eye for attention to detail
- Must be able to follow direction
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic and evolving work-space
- Must be able to work under pressure and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) - Required
- Food Handling Certificate - Required
- Approved Managers - Beneficial
- WSET 2 or Equivalent - Beneficial
