At Rio Tinto, it begins with you.About the role:We are looking for an energetic and inspiring leader to join our team as Business Partner, IS&T - Iron Ore East Pilbara & Future Development based in Perth, Western Australia. This business partner (BP) role is the IS&T strategic partner to our Iron Ore customers operating in the East Pilbara mines (Gudai-Darri, West Angelas, Yandicoogina, Rhodes Ridge, and Hope Downs) as well as Iron Ore's Integrated Planning, State Agreements & Approvals, and Resource Development divisions. The BP works with senior leaders in these teams to understand their business problems and leverages the skills across IS&T to provide solutions. This is a customer-centric role that requires excellent stakeholder engagement at all levels in the organisation, a strong understanding of the Iron Ore business and the ability to operate across a large geographical area.This role is accountable for leading a small, multi-disciplinary team that works across the broad IS&T business to deliver the maximum value considering the Iron Ore divisions' investment in IS&T.Reporting to the Chief Advisor IS&T, Iron Ore, and working within our global Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) team, you will:

• Be committed to the safety of yourself and your team and lead by example with an ever-present growth mindset.
• Integrate into the Iron Ore divisions as a trusted partner to understand their business strategy, problems and opportunities and provide guidance with innovative solutions.
• Be the IS&T liaison and lead for the development and implementation of technology roadmaps and be accountable for solution delivery for the associated Iron Ore divisions.
• Work collaboratively with the IS&T Project Delivery team to provide sustainable solutions per customer requirements.
• Promote and drive value extraction from the technology currently being used and champion the evaluation and use of new technology in collaboration with global counterparts in IS&T.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• The capability to critically analyse data and make effective strategic and operational decisions based on information provided and drive issues to resolution
• A competent and visible leadership style of guiding, mentoring, developing and empowering team members resulting in positive employee engagement

Where you will be workingThis role is based in Perth, Western Australia, out of our Central Park office, working Monday - Friday, with ad hoc and regular travel to sites in the Pilbara.Rio Tinto Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) operates to enable better alignment with customer priorities, end-to-end accountability and flexibility to prioritise critical work.
