The opportunity
We are currently on the lookout for passionate, enthusiastic Machine Operators who are looking to join a growing and dynamic business. In addition to offering long term secure work, we also offer ongoing training and career development to ensure your skills are always kept up to date.
This role will be strongly supported by the Manufacturing Manager and will form part of a team that works closely together to ensure the best results.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Safe operation of various types of machinery including CNC Press Break, CNC flatbed routers, Laser cutting tubes, flatbed machines and tube bending.
- Inspecting in-process and finished products to ensure quality.
- Routinely cleaning equipment and work areas.
- Complying with Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices.
- Assist in hazard and risk identification, and the recommendation of suitable controls.
- Ensure production targets are met.
- Ensure strong collaboration with all internal stakeholders.
- Recommend areas for improvement.
About you:
- At least one year of experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience in setting up and operating CNC Press Brake, CNC Tube Laser, CNC Flat Laser or CNC Tube Bending highly regarded.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to meet productivity and efficiency targets.
- Excellent communication, literacy and numerical skills.
- High level of motivation and a proactive attitude.
- Capacity to undertake physically repetitive and manual handling work.
- Consistency in following safe systems of work and safe operating procedures.
- Physically fit to perform manual handling tasks, prolonged periods of standing, and repetitive assembly work.
