Our company employs over 400 staff, across Australia. While out main manufacturing and operations base is located in South Queensland, our Dandenong South operation maintains important stockholdings and fit-on-site teams form a vital link, delivering quality products to our customers across the nation.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an open, accountable and self-driven leader: to join our team and create positive relationships and communication amongst key stakeholders and team members. The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running the depot; including manage, lead and motivate the team whilst driving system and process improvements to increase operation efficiencies on the site. Reporting directly to the Triple M Services Manager, the successful applicant will be the primary point of contact for the depot:
- Coordination and supervision of the day-to-day operations; including safety, productivity and quality,
- Regular stock management and reporting to company management in QLD on all facets of depot operations,
- Coordinating and reporting on daily product pre-assembly and fitment services, assisting themselves where required,
- Overseeing other product distribution, to customers in the region and also those accessed via rural freight onforwarding,
- Depot and equipment upkeep,
- Communication and development of the team’s skills and capabilities.
We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals that possess skills and experience in the following areas:
- Previous supervisory experience and solid leadership capability to develop a willingness to manage a team of skilled people to achieve targets.
- A willingness to assist in fitment/delivery tasks, while maintaining office-based requirements.
- Applicants with automotive, manufacturing or engineering work experience will be highly regarded. Previous location/branch/depot management experience is a must.
- Availability to work between 6:00 am to 3:30 pm from Monday to Friday. Some reasonable additional hours may be required during busy periods.
- Well-developed communication and time-management skills – both in written form (clear, concise, accurate) and verbally (open, honest, accountable, compassionate).
- An ability to positively and proactively promote our company’s key values of Quality, Efficiency, Safety and Service.
- Current manual driver’s license – a must.
- Current VIC forklift licence – highly regarded.
- LR or MR Truck licence - highly regarded.
- A current resume, with a minimum of two recent referees.
