You will be working with a diverse and dynamic team within Health System Support Group (HSSG) and be based with the NSW Ministry of Health at 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards, NSW 2065. HSSG is a unit of the Public Health System Support Division of the Health Administration Corporation and provides services to support the public health system to provide worldclass services that promote, protect, develop, maintain and improve the health and wellbeing of the people of New South Wales.For more information go toAbout the Role
System Purchasing Branch works closely with NSW public health services to enable quality health care, service delivery and sustainability to deliver outcomes that matter. The Branch is responsible for the NSW Health Purchasing Framework and Statewide Purchasing Agreements with private operators, development and negotiation of the Service Agreements with Local Health Districts and Specialty Health Networks, Performance Agreements with pillar organisations and Statements of Service with shared services. The branch also provides expert advice & performance improvement support across the NSW public health system in:
- Surgical services
- Ambulatory care
- Climate Risk and Net Zero
- Ministerially Approved Grants
- Rostering Best Practice
- Efficiency improvement

- Demonstrated skills and experience in managing all stages of the project cycle (planning, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation) through implementing change or redesign projects.
- Demonstrated effective organisational skills and experience working in a high volume, complex and demanding professional environment with a capacity to prioritise, multitask and achieve goals.
- Excellent analytical skills including the ability to analyse and interpret information and meet challenges creatively that achieve positive outcomes.
- Proven excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to provide strategic program advice in a complex and multi-disciplinary environment.
- Demonstrated high level communication, engagement, collaboration, and negotiation skills, with the capability to build and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders.
