Role Overview:
The role responsibilities extend across providing excellent customer service and overseeing the efficient and organised operations of the yard. This multifaceted role involves a diverse range of tasks, including customer interactions, yard maintenance and equipment presentation.
Key responsibilities:
- Customer Service - Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, provide customers support in equipment selection and address customer inquiries promptly.
- Yard Operations - Supervise and organise daily yard operations, maintain presentation of yard, coordinate equipment movements.
- Equipment Inspections and Presentation - Inspect equipment thoroughly before and after hires (including checking fuel gauges and hour meters/Odometers), clean and detail equipment to Reliable Hire standards.
- Equipment Delivery and Pickup - Assist with loading and unloading equipment onto customer vehicles or trailers.
- Administration Tasks - Maintain accurate rental and customer records, track equipment availability, reservations and returns and assist with inventory management.
- Team Collaboration - Collaborate and communicate effectively with the team and other departments.
- Valid open driver’s licence, HR licence preferrable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer skills for data entry and record-keeping
- Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Previous experience customer service and yard operations in the hire or construction industry
- Knowledge of various types of equipment and their operation, desired, however training is provided
- Mechanical aptitude for basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Current Forklift Licence
