About The Role
Reporting to the Director and General Manager, as Branch Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing of to day operations within the branch (Lawnton QLD), whilst providing strong leadership skills and promotion of excellence in customer service, maximising growth opportunities and ensuring profitable returns.
Leading from the front, you'll work closely with your team to ensure exceptional service to our customers who are the lifeblood of the modular handrail & safety barrier industry in Australia!
Responsibilities
- Ensure excellent customer service across all areas of the business
- Manage and grow existing accounts
- People management of sales and operational staff, promoting a high performance culture through setting clear sales & order fulfillment processes
- Assist in the recruitment of key staff members to enhance team capabilities
- Maintain and enforce standards, procedures and organisation within the branch, maintain a safe working environment
- Monitor open estimates and sales orders to ensure high sales conversion and timely order completion
- Establish customer needs by proactive Customer contact and relationship management
- To identify and ensure that Company expenses are kept within a reasonable and justifiable parameters
- Building strong business relationships
- Generating, registering and maintaining new business
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions and competitor activities
- Develop and nurture a positive team culture aligned with the organization's People Strategy through training, coaching, development, and motivation
- Provide monthly progress reports to the Director, offering insights into branch development and growth opportunities
- Build and maintain a strong client base for future business opportunities in order to reach monthly sales targets
- Evaluating employee performance and providing feedback and coaching as needed
- Assist to manage the branch inventory and warehousing operations including local supplier purchases and incoming import shipments, daily pick, pack and ship & fulfillment of customer orders & consignments.
- Work with the senior management team to proactively improve work methods and bottom line results as we expand the business interstate throughout 2024
- Supervise inhouse fabrication jobs for quality & accuracy, timely production
- Work with the administration and accounts team for management of debtors and customer payments
Essential Skills Required
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Management & Sales
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Highly effective people management experience & skills
- Experience working in sales / management role is essential
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, negotiation and organisation skills
- A passion for customer service
- Intermediate to high level IT systems experience – NetSuite based ERP & WMS systems
