Brand Marketing Strategist
Contract: initial 6 months with view to permanent
Hybrid working environment: onsite for team meetings and collaboration 2-3 days per week
Location: North Sydney
Working within a rapidly growing Australian owned skincare business with decades of experience in the pharmaceutical, health and beauty sectors, the Brand Strategist will be responsible for developing and refining the overarching strategy for positioning the company's products by defining it's points of difference and value proposition to consumers and using consumer insights, market knowledge, and internally sourced data to align the strategy and implement marketing plans.
As part of a collaborative and engaged team, you will be instrumental in the messaging and brand as it goes to a wider market.
Responsibilities include:

• Gather feedback from sales and analyse consumer behaviour to define the company's positioning
• Crafting the business’ differentiation strategy
• Briefing the creative team on marketing projects and customer acquisition strategies
• Work with and refine guidelines that define the company's voice both online and offline (including terminology and slogans)
• Conduct competitive research to identify strengths and weaknesses
• Design promotional campaigns for new products and markets
• Analyse market trends and identify new opportunities and challenges

Essential skills and experience required:

• Min 4 years' experience as a Brand Strategist or similar role in Marketing
• Demonstrated experience working within the beauty, skincare and wellness sector
• Proven portfolio of brand-building projects
• Experience developing marketing strategies based on market segmentation and data driven decision making
• Creativity and passion for beauty and skincare products
• Excellent communication and writing skills
