About the Centre
Aspire Thornhill Village is located in Thornhill Park, just 35 minutes from Melbourne CBD. It is also positioned across the road from existing Aspire Thornhill Park. The state-of-the-art facility will feature beautiful indoor and outdoor environments for children to learn and grow in. The centre's 7 spacious rooms support children through their entire learning journey,from 6 weeks to 6 years old.
The Opportunity & Responsibilities
The Head of Curriculum is responsible for role modelling, coaching, and mentoring the centre leadership team to strive for and achieve best practice in developing and delivering high quality educational program. In partnership with the Centre Manager, you will be delivering on key KPIs, driving the Aspire philosophy, vision and values and ensuring that the Centre is exceeding national quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Service Leadership & Management - Working in partnership with the Centre Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the service
- Mentor & Coach the team to provide a high-quality curriculum and best practice - Assist the leadership team in the development, design, and implementation of educational programs
- Lead and develop high performing teams - Foster a positive organisational culture within the Centre & drive the distributed leadership model
- Networking, training and development - Identify needs for professional development and supports learning opportunities and organise networking and training opportunities for the team based on identified areas for improvement, further training and development.
- Relationships with Stakeholders, departments, and organisations - Oversee and collaborate with the Leadership team at your Centre.
- Support the Centre with the operational requirements with regards to planning and delivering a funded Kindergarten program
About you
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (or working towards) is necessary
- Prior experience in an Educational Leader or Management role
- The ability to lead & motivate a large team
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families & employees
- Knowledge and understanding of Children's Services Regulations and National Quality Standards
- A current Working with Children check or VIT registration, First-Aid Certificate, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training, Food Handlers Certificate
