Seven Migration on behalf of Gracie Barra Central Coast (DC SPORTS GROUP PTY LIMITED)
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Instructor
Gracie Barra Central Coast is currently seeking an experienced Sports Coach who is professional, hard-working, passionate, dedicated and committed to promote the sport and encourage the development of students abilities at all times and coordinate the participation of students in competitions.
This position is full-time and ongoing, working 38 hours a week in Erina, NSW.
Salary: $70,000 to $75,000 per annum (plus super)
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Teach physical skills, such as self-defense, as well as mental skills, ethics, values, respect, and discipline with students of various ages.
- Coaching, training and instructing sportspersons by analysing performances and developing abilities
- Work with athletes, helping them improve their skills and monitor their evolution.
- Explain techniques, rules, and strategies of martial arts.
- Review medical reports of students before taking classes.
- Arranging entries into sporting competitions by preparing athletes mentally and physically before taking part in competitions.
- Maintain student records, including attendance, grades and discipline.
- Promoting sports and skills development, and overseeing the participation of young people in sport.
- Provide First Aid and basic emergency life support, if needed.
- Coordinating and directing sporting activities.
- Team management.
- Administrative support.
Hiring Criteria
In order to be successful in your new role, you will need to demonstrate:
Required Qualifications & Work Experience:
- Previous experience instructing kids.
- 2+ years teaching experience in martial arts.
- Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Brown or Black Belt.
- Instructor Certificate Program (ICP), renewed year.
- First Aid + CPR up to date.
- Working with Children Check
Required Skills:
- The ideal candidate will be patient, knowledgeable, and able to adapt the teaching methods to fit the needs of each student.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with students of all ages.
- Have a passion for Martial Arts and helping others to reach their potential.
- Flexibility to work on weekends.
Additional Requirements:
- Availability and willingness to commit to full-time employment.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications.
- Team management experience.
