AddressWe are looking for a Breakfast Chef to join our dynamic kitchen brigade. Award winning Nu Nu Restaurant, located in Palm Cove 30 minutes north of Cairns, is open breakfast 7 days a week. This role will involve day time shifts only and there is flexibility to make the role full time or part time for the right candidate.
For the right candidate this role can be Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities will include:-
Managing breakfast service to our high standards,
Overseeing and coordinating the kitchen's breakfast requirements including ordering, stock control and preparation,
Developing work lists, delegating accordingly and ensuring timely, high quality preparation for services.
Providing support to the Head Chef in the areas of:-
Training and mentoring apprentices,
Managing supplier relationships,
Stock and cost control,
Adhering to the guidelines of the restaurant's food safety program.
The successful candidate will possess:-
Superior cooking skills,
Strong leadership skills,
Excellent communication and organisational skills,
Energetic and passionate about food and hospitality,
Motivated, professional with a positive attitude.
Proven experience in a similar role is essential. Skills and experience required: Minimum 2 years work experience as a qualified chef or cook and relevant Diploma qualifications.
