Virtue Bar & Eats is looking for a Breakfast Chef / Qualified Chef to join their team.
We require someone that has the skill and speed of a Head or Sous Chef and a passion to create unique dishes using Australian Native ingredients.
Virtue Bar and Eats located on Mooloolaba Esplanade over looking the beautiful Mooloolaba beach boasts the only menu on the Sunshine Coast to use Australian native ingredients in the every dish.
About You:-
To join our team you will have a proven track record working in busy kitchens within a high volume casual dining enviroment. You will have more than 5 years experience with cafe / restaurant breakfast service and a proven track record delivering CONSISTENT high quality dishes. You will be creative and have a genuine passion for exceptional clean food.
To be eligible you must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Residents. Have a positive attitude with a passion for cooking. A willingness to grow with the team and have good organization skills.
Experience with Australian Native ingredients is highly desired.
To be suitable for this position the candidate will posses the following attributes :-
- Must be trade qualified in Cert III Commercial Cookery
- Cool under pressure and excited by a challenging fast paced environment
- To lead by example and be very hands on
- Willing to work weekends, nights and public holidays
- Strong level of attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to bring the best out of your team and apprentices
- Understanding of food safety standards and HACCP
- Maintaining hygiene in the kitchen
- COMMON SENSE!!!
