Travelling to various sites from Ipswich to Brisbane will be required.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry and kickstart your journey towards becoming a skilled tradesperson. You will be placed with our host employer, who will provide you with mentoring and training.

Duties may include but not limited to:
- Learn the art of bricklaying by assisting experienced tradespeople in various construction projects.
- Assist in the preparation and cleaning of construction sites.
- Carry and handle bricks, mortar, and other construction materials.
- Assist with measuring and setting up the layout of buildings or structures.
- Mix and apply mortar to ensure proper bonding of bricks.
- Lay bricks and blocks according to specifications, patterns, and building codes.
- Conduct inspections to ensure the quality and accuracy of completed work.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment
- Any other tasks requested by the host employer
Applicants would preferably meet the following criteria:
- A strong desire to pursue a career in bricklaying and the construction industry.
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and follow established procedures.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour in various weather conditions.
- Have good hand-eye coordination
- Enjoy practical work
- Must hold a Construction White Card or be able to obtain
- Have a minimum P1 Drivers Licence and own reliable transport
