About this opportunity
Our team has an opportunity for an experienced Bridge Carpenter where you will carry out technical work related to construction and maintenance of concrete and timber bridges, associated drainage structures and civil works.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carry out technical work related to construction and maintenance of concrete and timber bridges and associated drainage structures.
- Assume responsibility for security and condition of all Council vehicles and equipment utilised by team under control. Including storage of small plant and tools in secured lockable containers provided by Council.
- Exercise skills in human relations to ensure harmony with elected representatives, other Council Business Units, other Government and Statutory Organisations, and the general public
About you
To succeed in this role, you will require :
- Desirable Certificate of Competency as a Carpenter.
- Successful completion of Year 10 Certificate or equivalent experience.
- Current HR Class Licence minimum.
- Construction Induction Card
- Developing skills in understanding construction plans and bridge carpentry.
- Basic communication and numeracy skills.
