Bridge Worker - Newcastle

Our client is a well-known State Government agency who are passionate about making NSW a better place to live, work and visit. An exciting opportunity now exists for a Bridge Worker to join their dynamic team in Newcastle!The Role:The primary purpose of this role is to undertake various functions relating to maintaining timber, steel or concrete bridges. You will be assisting tradespeople such as carpenters, ironworkers, and concrete workers by aiding as needed. This role also operates a range of equipment or machinery and carries out advanced labouring duties.What’s in it for you?

• Casual assignment for 6 months - possibility of extension
• Casual pay rate: $44.51 per hour + super and applicable allowances
• Hours of work: 4 days a week, 9.5 hrs a day (excl break) 6:00-16:30

Essential requirements:

• Sound experience in a road worker grade 4 role or industry equivalent
• Demonstrated ability in using literacy and numeracy skills to complete work records and effectively communicate with work team
• Worker on foot ticket (or willing to obtain)
• Construction Industry White Card
• Current unrestricted NSW C Class drivers licence
