Broadcast Technologist

We are currently seeking an experienced Broadcast Technologist to join our team in the Melbourne Office! 

This is an exciting role that will be looking after some of Australia’s largest radio shows and audio production!

About the role:  

• Ensure the effective functioning of broadcasting and streaming equipment, both within studios as a priority and production environments, by responding to and resolving any technical malfunctions or operator issues.
• Ensure the preventative maintenance schedule for broadcasting and technical equipment is adhered to, in accordance with quality standards, policy and priorities.
• Ensure any additions or changes to infrastructure are documented clearly and accurately.
• Provide hardware and software support for all broadcast computer systems.
• Install and maintain infrastructure and cabling throughout the studio and data centre facility.

   

• Always ensure the effective operation of ARN’s radio transmitter sites and transmission signals by monitoring signals and fail-safe systems.
• Ensure the preventative maintenance schedule is adhered to by inspecting the technical equipment and transmitter building sites, in accordance with quality standards, policy and priorities.

   

• Work collaboratively with our IT team to ensure hardware and software support for computers to resolve user issues.

   

• Solid experience with IP based audio standards and infrastructure.
• Radio production infrastructure and operational knowledge. Ideally Axia Livewire based.
• Infrastructure and cabling installation experience.
• Excellent time and project management skills.
• Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
• You love deep diving into systems, perfecting documentation and installations.
• Technical related knowledge and experience in commercial broadcasting.
• Knowledge of video production systems would be beneficial.
