AddressSuccessful applicant will be assisting the Farm Manager in supervising the management/performance of poultry farming operations, including maintaining the welfare and health of domestic poultry and breeding procedures. Daily tasks will include the overseeing and coordination of farming operations, maintaining records to optimise the health of poultry, monitoring shed computers, maintenance of various cooling and heating equipment and feeders and drinkers inside sheds, performing pickups and placements of day-old chicks, pest control etc.
To be considered for the role, applicants will ideally have either a relevant qualification or at least 2 years of experience working on a poultry farm or in the poultry industry. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, have an ability to manage and prioritise daily tasks, have knowledge on and a motivation towards animal welfare, planning and organisational skills and have experience in safely operating farm machinery.
