The Role:
The objective of this position is to oversee all the contract and Hazeldene broiler farms to ensure Hazeldene’s standards are monitored and adhered to by the Company and contract farmers. Below are some the job responsibilities but not limited to:
- Collaborate with Broiler Farm Managers on broiler-related matters.
- Oversee & service Hazeldene’s owned & contract broiler farms, ensuring proper husbandry & corrective actions.
- Provide guidance and training to staff and contractors on broiler management best practices.
- Monitor bird weights regularly and assess farm facilities.
- Monitor flock health and conduct serological and microbiological testing.
- Maintain farm administration and documentation standards.
- Provide technical advice on farm cleanouts and safety practices.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and quality standards in broiler farming.
About you:
- To be successful you should possess:
- Reliable individuals with a strong work ethic.
- 5 years’ experience in poultry farming.
- Extensive knowledge of poultry farming practices.
- Ability to perform administrative tasks.
- Able to communicate to farm managers/contractors and auditing bodies.
