Job Summary:
This position is a Full-Time Working from Home role either in Sydney area, Central Coast, & Newcastle
As a Claims Manager, your role will revolve around the careful handling of insurance claims, working closely with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless and efficient claims resolution process.
Your keen eye for detail, effective communication skills, and deep knowledge of general insurance will be instrumental in your day-to-day responsibilities to ensure a smooth and efficient claims resolution process.
Key Responsibilities:
Claims Management
- Receive and review insurance claims submitted by clients.
- Investigate the validity of claims, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided.
- Review coverage and indemnity in accordance with insurance policies.
- Preparation of claim submissions to insurers.
- Collaborate with adjusters, insurers, and legal teams as required.
- Maintain open and effective communication with all stakeholders throughout the life of the claim.
- Provide brokers and clients with regular updates on the status of their claims.
- Negotiate with insurers to secure the best possible outcome for clients.
- Maintain accurate records of all claims-related correspondence, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications:
- At a minimum, be Tier 2 compliant and be willing to work towards Diploma accreditation
- Proven experience in general insurance claims handling, or general insurance broking and looking to move into claims management, preferably within an insurance brokerage.
- Experience in the use of Steadfast Insight Broking System, Sunrise, Steadfast Virtual Underwriter (SVU) and OfficeTech will be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided, however some experience with processing on insurer & insurance broking systems including insurer claims portals would be preferred
- Have a professional manner
- Be well organized
- Able to perform under pressure & understand the importance of client servicing
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
