Are you ready to be a part of a prestigious institute. Our client offers a wide range of programs across various departments, playing a vital role in serving our state. They are recognised for their forward-thinking approaches, and currently looking for a talented Budget Analyst to join their dynamic team.
The Role:
As a Budget Analyst, you'll have a hands-on role in initial preparation of budgets and managing financial documentation across different business units and projects within their client portfolio. Your responsibilities will include budgeting, forecasting, reporting, monitoring, and account analysis, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Collaboration with colleagues in the Finance Department is key, as you'll provide timely and high-quality financial advice to academic and professional staff, empowering them to make informed decisions.
Reporting to the Management Accountant, key responsibilities will include:
  • Playing a pivotal role in preparing, maintaining, and monitoring budgets and forecasts.
  • Keeping a close eye on monthly financial reporting, conducting variance analysis and addressing anomalies.
  • Providing valuable financial advice and support to management and staff, ensuring efficient budgeting, forecasting, financial management, and adherence to finance policies and procedures.
  • Producing financial management reports that drive informed decision-making.
  • Proactively and accurately managing and reconciling financial transactions, especially related to revenues, procurement, invoice payments, and general ledger processes.
About you!
To excel in this role, you will be degree qualified and potentially studying your CA/CPA. Demonstrated experience in financial management, including managing accounts, budgets, and have worked in complex environment. You must possess the ability to provide clear and concise stakeholder engagement. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills will be well regarded as will your Excel and systems capability.
