Building And Timber Pest Inspector

Due to expansion, Dedant Building and Pest Inspections is seeking a qualified inspector to start immediately.

• We have a supportive, Brisbane based team who meet up regularly.

Dedant has been operating in Southeast QLD since 2008, with a reputation for providing outstanding service to customers and exceeding their expectations. Focused on continuous improvement and innovation in our field, Dedant is going places in 2024 and now needs some new inspectors to meet the demand. 

Completing a range of inspections on site and preparing an unbiased report for each property using our reporting software.  Following each inspection, our inspectors provide a summary of the inspection to the client, either over the phone or in person. 

They range of inspections could include pre-purchase Building and Timber Pest inspections, annual Timber Pest inspections, maintenance inspections, practical completion inspections and stage inspections. 

To be successful in this role, applicants must be suitably qualified and hold the following licenses.

• Current QBCC Builders or Building Surveyors License
• Minimum of 5 years proven experience in Building or Building Surveying
• QBCC Completed Residential Building Inspectors License 
• PMT Licence in Pest Control Activity including Timber Pest (or currently studying)
• Current QLD Drivers Licence

In addition to the licencing requirements, our ideal candidate will have.

• Self-motivation with strong attention to detail.
• Be a ‘people person’ with well-developed communication skills.
• A strong work ethic and can-do attitude.
• Good health and fitness, with the ability to be able to climb into roof voids and under subfloors.
• Excellent time management skills
