SalaryWe are currently recruiting for a Building Compliance Inspection Officer for our client, a NSW Government agency based in Parramatta. This is an initial contract until 28/06/2024 with strong possibility of extension. Pay rate of $56.07ph + super. 7 hours per day, 35 hours per week.
Please note that this role will involve 3-4 days per week of field work and 1-2 days per week in the Parramatta office (pool cars are provided).
The purpose of this role is to undertake and report on field inspections activities/outcomes on Building Essential Services (BES) work to verify contractor compliance with maintenance contract requirements in relations to BES.
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant Qualifications or accreditation in Quality Management principles and associated Australian Quality Standards or relevant work experience.
- Understanding of the Australian Building Codes, Australian Standards, Government or commercial probity and contracting standards.
- Relevant qualification and/or sound construction building maintenance and/or building construction experience/exposure, together with field inspection experience and measurement of performance against standards.
- Desirable experience in Compliance Inspections of building essential services.
- Current driver's license.
- Relevant qualifications (preferably trade) with sound construction building maintenance experience, together with field inspection experience and measurement of performance against standards in Building Essential Services.
- Relevant experience in maintenance in Compliance Inspection of Fire Safety, mechanical ventilation, Sprinkler systems, Hydrants lifts, and any other Building services that are related maintenance work.
- Able to work independently,
- Working knowledge of Excel.
- Willing to travel to Sydney Metropolitan and Regional areas to undertake work.
