Due to continued growth, we have a newly created position in the Supervisory team (Insurance Services). The role is full-time (42.5 hours), Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am - 4:30 pm with a combination of work from the office and work from home.

CRA will provide the successful applicant with a Microsoft Surface and work-from-home setup, vehicle, and phone. Staff training is paid and employees have access to a funded Employee Assistance Program.

The Role

This position, reporting to the SA Supervisor Manager, will:

  • Provide estimating and supervision of insurance building repair works.
  • Work with all members of the community to make a positive difference.
  • Work collaboratively with Repair Coordinators to complete Insurance Repairs.
  • Liaise with insurance assessors, homeowners and building sub-contractors.
  • Be responsible for meeting budget and contractual Key Performance Indicators
  • Support trades contractors staff.

Key criteria - What experience is required

Knowledge/Qualifications/Licenses:

  • Essential: Minimum 2 years, recent proven experience in a similar role.
  • Essential: Thorough knowledge of the residential building/ construction industry.
  • Essential: Current White Card and current unrestricted driver's licence.
  • Desirable: A trade qualification 
  • Desirable: Supervisor's registration is a definite advantage

Skills/Experience:

  • Ability to oversee Insurance Repairs in residential settings. 
  • Ability to liaise with a wide range of clientele and a strong focus on quality customer service outcomes with an empathetic and problem-solving approach.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, and an ability to manage caseloads within strict KPI time frames.
  • Advanced verbal and written skills including the ability to draft correspondence, reports and emails.
  • Excellent communication skills in managing contractors and trades.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
  • Proficient technology skills including the use of computer software and portal-based technologies.
  • An understanding of the Building Code of Australia.
  • Ability to maintain safe work practices in line with WH&S policies and procedures through an understanding of the Work Health Safety Act (2012).
  • A commitment to ongoing professional education and training.
