Building Surveyor

Seeking experienced Building Surveyors to contribute and manage the growth of the LGA through effective development control

Collar Group has partnered with a leading Council in Sydney's South West that is looking for a Building Surveyor to assist the team on a permanent full time basis.
This Council is in one of the fastest growing regions and is one of the most diverse communities in Australia. With the construction of Western Sydney Airport, and developing Liverpool as Sydney's third main CBD, there has never been a more exciting time to make the move to the South West.
About the role:

This Council is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to contribute to the development of their growing community in a beautiful urban and rural environment.
This position will see you contributing to the delivery of growth in the local government area through professional development and certification assessment.
This role will see you provide professional advice and process applications to meet statutory requirements, in addition to carrying out inspections and certifications.
Salary $90,000 - $100,000 + Super + Council Leaseback Vehicle
About You:

The successful applicant will have:

• A Degree, Graduate Diploma or Diploma in Building, Engineering, Construction field or equivalent with a minimum A4 Accreditation
• Experience in assessing and determining Construction Certificates, Occupation Certificates, Complying Development Certificates and Building Certificates for all classes of buildings in accordance with relevant Acts and Regulations.
• Demonstrated experience in carrying out critical stage inspections for all classes of buildings; and
• Knowledge of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, Local Government Act 1993, Building Code of Australia, and other related legislation.
• Class C Drivers Licence
• Australian Citizen or resident with relevant unlimited work rights
