As a Senior Building Surveyor, you’ll contribute to a diverse range of consultancy services to our growing client base. You’ll also work collaboratively with other senior members of the team, who will provide mentoring and growth opportunities to match your interests. You will be focused and possess a willingness to continually learn and improve not only yourself but those around you. Upon starting we expect you to be able to hit the ground running with support along the way. DUTIES
You will have the direct role and responsibility of managing, directing, and motivating a team of Building Surveyors with various experience and providing technical advice in all matters relating to Building Regulations, the National Construction Code (BCA), relevant Australian Standards, fire safety, accessibility and much more.
By working closely in collaboration with your Associate you will have the backing of us to take on bigger and more challenging projects. You will be working on a variety of projects from tendering stage to post construction stage which includes site inspections of buildings under construction and existing buildings, meetings with clients and design teams as well as some administration tasks related to technical works.
ABOUT YOU
- A minimum of four years’ experience in a similar role. (2 years for Building Surveyors)
- Exceptional knowledge of the Building Code of Australia.
- Tertiary qualifications in building surveying, construction management or similar would be highly regarded.
- Wide exposure to a variety of projects.
- Proactive attitude.
- Leadership qualities
- Strong communication and report writing skills.
