About the Role
Customer Response ensures the education, safety and amenity of the Sunshine Coast Community.
Burial and Plaques Attendant carries out a key role in delivering and maintaining efficient and effective day-to-day burial and memorials activities whilst ensuring tasks are completed in accordance with Council policy and legislation.
Key duties include, but are not limited to:
- Carry out tasks associated with burials, interment of cremated remains and installation of memorials: including.
- Operate machinery and equipment associated with the function of the position and consistent with the award.
- Plan and carry out grave care activities throughout councils’ cemeteries.
- Carry out basic asset-based maintenance and improvement tasks including minor repairs.
About you
As a requirement of this role, you will possess:
- 30215 Qld – General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) – White Card
- Current Open Drivers Licence “MR” Class
- Excavator operator ticket
- Chainsaw Operators Certificate
- Agricultural Chemical Distribution Control Licence
- Physical agility and the level of fitness to carry out the role
Pre-Employment Medical Required
Essential to your success is physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting & bending. As such, appointment to this position is subject to completion of a pre-employment medical assessment.
Criminal History Check Required
Appointment to this position is subject to the satisfactory completion of a Criminal History Check.
