The Role
The Bus Driver is responsible for taking Community residents on outings in accordance with the requirements of the Community. This position is a casual role.
Key Accountabilities
Drive the bus in line with policies, procedures and the law
Provide residents with an enjoyable experience
Assist residents with getting on and off the bus
Ensure that the bus is always clean, well maintained and serviced
Comply with Ingenia’s WHS Policy and Procedures and any reasonable instructions from any supervisor/authorised representative of the company concerning health and safety matters
About You
Current “MR” class drivers license
National Police Check
Experience / Requirements
Demonstrated capability and experience in driving buses
Good verbal communication skills
Professional manner and strong interpersonal skills
Flexible, positive and enthusiastic
An ability to respond well to emergency situations.
Minimum LR License Required.
Physical Requirements
Use of the bus
Occasional use of cleaning equipment
Repetitive use of muscular force, bending, twisting and stretching when carry out cleaning tasks
Sitting for periods of time while driving
Occasional use of cleaning products
Occasional use of PPE such as rubber gloves when cleaning
