All Saints Catholic College is the biggest Catholic school in the Sydney Archdiocese, and we are currently recruiting for a Bus Driver to work in a casual capacity. About you

We are looking for a reliable Bus Driver to join our team. As a School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for transporting students to and from school and extracurricular events, following a scheduled route and ensuring the safety of all passengers. They report to the Principal and Business Manager and maintain a clean bus at all times and obey traffic laws while transporting students. 

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • be attentive to traffic and weather conditions and ensure passenger safety
  • follow the planned route and schedule for departure times and stops
  • regularly check vehicle safety such as tyres, brakes, turn signals and mechanical equipment
  • work collaboratively as part of a team and at times autonomously
  • be willing to undergo any relevant training appropriate for the role
  • commitment to supporting a positive religious and cultural Catholic School environment.

About the role:

  • transport children and other passengers to and from school
  • obey all traffic laws to ensure students arrive at their destination safely
  • maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus at all times
  • ensure the safety of all students when entering and leaving the bus
  • assist students with getting on and off the bus as needed
  • engage with students as they enter and leave the bus.

Minimum skills and experience required:

  • proven work experience as a School Bus Driver or similar role
  • clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic infringements within the last five years
  • two or more years of experience working with children is preferred
  • ability to carry out assigned routes on time
  • must have a Light Rigid (LR) and Medium Rigid Licence.

You will have attained:

  • an Employee ID registration number with Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) or commitment to Register to Teach in SCS.
